Walton VRF, chiller ACs installed at Singapore hospitals

Business Desk :

Bangladesh’s leading electronics brand Walton has marked a significant milestone with its air-cooled chiller and VRF air conditioners being installed at two of Singapore’s top hospitals Mount Elizabeth Hospital and Singapore General Hospital.

The installations, carried out by Walton’s Singapore partner Flair M&E Private Ltd, use smart inverter and advanced VRF technology, highlighting Walton’s capability to produce high-tech, energy-efficient air conditioning systems that meet international standards.

Md. Tanvir Rahman, Chief Business Officer of Walton AC, said the move is a matter of pride for Bangladesh, noting that previously, raw materials for ACs were imported from Singapore.
“Now, Walton is exporting advanced AC technology to the very hospitals that once supplied our raw materials. This showcases Bangladesh’s growing technological and manufacturing capabilities on the global stage,” he said.

Walton became the first and only manufacturer of VRF ACs in Bangladesh with its factory inaugurated in 2020, making Bangladesh the ninth country worldwide capable of producing such advanced systems. The VRF and chiller ACs feature energy-efficient inverter compressors, smart control systems, auto-dust removal, load-sharing technology, and compliance with global safety and quality standards including ISO 14001, RoHS, CE, and BSTI certifications.
The company is investing heavily in research, innovation, AI, IoT, and environmentally friendly technology to expand its residential and commercial AC offerings. Walton is already present in over 50 countries and aims to grow its footprint to more than 100 markets, driving foreign currency earnings through exports of VRF, chiller, and commercial ACs.
Experts say Walton’s success reflects Bangladesh’s emerging role as a hub for high-tech, sustainable electronics, demonstrating the country’s potential in global manufacturing and export markets.
