Promotion, post creation, recruitment must follow govt rules: Info Secy

Information and Broadcasting Secretary Mahbuba Farzana on Tueday said that government rules must be followed strictly in promotion, post creation, and manpower appointments.

“The government’s latest instructions should be adhered to at every step of promotion, post creation, and recruitment of manpower,” she said.

The Information and Broadcasting Secretary made this call to the officials participating in a day-long training related to ‘DPC, SSB, Post Creation and Outsourcing’ at the Press Information Division (PID) conference room at the Secretariat on Tuesday, reports BSS.

Referring to promotion, post creation, and manpower appointment as ongoing processes, the secretary said that concerned officials must perform their responsibilities with transparency and accountability. Otherwise, administrative disorder could arise, hampering official activities.

She also urged the officials to make full use of the knowledge gained from the training.
Officials from the Information and Broadcasting Ministry and its subordinate agencies, among others, attended the day-long training.
