Bangladeshi National Appointed as Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Eswatini
DHAKA, Bangladesh :
In a significant step to strengthen bilateral ties, Morshedul Alam Chaklader, a prominent figure in Aviation , Banking , Real Estate, logistics businesses and community services , has been officially appointed as the Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Eswatini to Bangladesh.
The appointment was formally conferred by the Royal Government of the Kingdom of Eswatini under the authority of His Majesty King Mswati III on October 19, 2025. The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has granted full diplomatic recognition by issuing the Official Exequatur, authorizing Mr Chaklader to undertake consular duties and represent Eswatini’s interests within Bangladesh.
In this voluntary role, the Honorary Consul will be instrumental in fostering stronger economic, cultural, and diplomatic relations. Key responsibilities will include facilitating trade missions, promoting tourism, assisting citizens of Eswatini in Bangladesh, and enhancing people-to-people connections.
Upon accepting the role, Morshed Chaklader stated, “I am deeply honoured by the trust placed in me by the Kingdom of Eswatini and profoundly grateful for the recognition from the Government of Bangladesh. I see this as a unique opportunity to build a lasting bridge of friendship and mutual prosperity between our two nations. I am committed to working tirelessly to explore new avenues of cooperation and to bring Eswatini and Bangladesh closer together.”
