Ex PDB Chief Engineer Mohammad Abdul Jalil passes away

Mohammad Abdul Jalil, former chief engineer of the Bangladesh Power Development Board (PDB), passed away on Saturday at 10:30 p.m. while undergoing treatment at Samorita General Hospital in Dhaka. Jalil had been battling illness for a prolonged period.

He was 78 at the time of his demise and is survived by his wife, two sons, one daughter and numerous well-wishers.

PDB Chairman engineer Md. Rezaul Karim has expressed profound shock at the demise of former chief Engineer of PDB Mohammad Abdul Jalil. He extended his deep sympathies to the bereaved family, says a press release.

Mohammad Abdul Jalil began his career in 1970 as an assistant engineer at the Dhaka Electricity Board.

He went on to play a vital role in the field of power development, contributing to various important projects during his long career.
