Sylhet’s ex-mayor active in rights realize movement

Former mayor of Sylhet City Corporation Ariful Haque Chowdhury is joining the movement to seek a solution to Sylhet’s fragile communication system. He has called for a rally at Sylhet Court Point on Sunday, October 12 at 11 am.
He also called for everyone to rise above party and opinion and join the rally to realize Sylhet’s demands in unity.
On Thursday afternoon, he campaigned in the city’s Bandar Bazar area, calling for participation in the movement to realize Sylhet’s rights on October 12 at Court Point, demanding the establishment of proper development, transparent and sustainable communication system.
Ariful Haque Chowdhury said at the time, ‘The suffering, irregularities and extreme anarchy that have been going on in the communication system of our beloved greater Sylhet for a long time have reached an unbearable level.
The fundamental rights of the people, namely the right to easy, safe and orderly transportation, are being severely violated today.
We will all come together with a united voice to protest this mismanagement and injustice and to demand the establishment of a proper developmental, transparent and sustainable communication system.
Come, on October 12 at 11 am at Court Point, regardless of party affiliation, let us all come together in this just movement to realize the rights of our beloved Sylhet. Your presence will be the beginning of change.’
During the conversation, former Mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury said that there is no alternative to a united movement to realize the rights of the people of Sylhet. He urged everyone to be present at the Court Point rally.
It is worth noting that Ariful Haque Chowdhury has been vocal about the communication problems of the people of Sylhet for the past few days.
He has been demanding that the government free Sylhet from communication problems. Finally, he has chosen a street movement to realize his demands.
