A team of doctors from Britain and various European countries has come to Sylhet to provide free treatment under the initiative of Tafida Rakib Foundation.
They arrived at Sylhet Osmani International Airport on Monday (September 29, 2025) under the leadership of the Foundation’s President Shelina Begum.
At this time, the doctors were greeted at the airport by the Foundation’s spokesperson and BBC celebrity chef from London Wales, Abul Hossain.
Tafida Rakib Foundation spokesperson Abul Hossain said, this is an unprecedented opportunity for the people of the country, this level of participation of international partnership in the health sector has rarely been seen before. One of the objectives of the Foundation is to provide good medical care to the helpless, poor and orphans. Free medical camps will be held at various places in Sylhet division from today to October 7.
Volunteers of Tafida Rakib Foundation and social workers from various places exchanged greetings with the foreign doctors at the airport.
Zakir Hossain Chowdhury, Project Managing Director of the Foundation, Ala Uddin Pasha, a humanitarian worker from Sylhet, and others were present at the time.
