BFL begins today

The Bangladesh Football League (BFL) begins today across the different venues of the country. BFL is the professional football competition of the country. Earlier, the name of the football meet was Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Dhaka Abahani Limited will take on Rahmantganj MFS at Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj, while Arambagh Krira Sangha will face Fakirerpool Youngmens Club at the Shaheed Miraj-Tapan Stadium in Manikganj. Both the matches will kick-off at 2:45pm. The professional football league of the country was started in 2007. In that time the name of the most prestigious football competition was B-League. Most of the football officials of the world thought that it was the second tier football competition of Bangladesh.
