HSBC,BEPZA to establish BDO at NSEZ

HSBC Bangladesh has signed an agreement with the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) to open a Business Development Office (BDO) at the National Special Economic Zone (NSEZ) in Mirsarai, Chattogram.

The new office will provide banking services to both local and foreign investors operating in the zone, offering solutions for trade, investment, and export financing. Designed as a one-stop access point, the BDO will deliver modern financial services such as trade finance and cash management, helping businesses manage cross-border transactions smoothly.

HSBC officials said the initiative is part of the bank’s continued support for Bangladesh’s growth as a competitive manufacturing and export hub. The new office at NSEZ will be the seventh Business Development Office the bank operates across different Export Processing Zones in the country. These offices enable clients to connect with HSBC’s international network and draw on its global expertise in trade finance and investment support, says a press release.
