ACC probes Rampal Power Plant

A team of ACC (Anti-Corruption Commission) probed into the alleged excess payment to Indian employees of Bangladesh-India friendship Rampal coal based thermo Power Plant in Bagerhat district.

The Anti-Corruption Commission conducted a raid the Rampla Power Plant and started an investigation into alleged irregularities in tender procedures, selling of goods of the power plant and excessive payments to the Indian employees of the power plant on Monday (September 15) at noon, according to a source of Bagerhat district Anti-Corruption Commission.

The ACC source disclosed, a lawyer named Khalekuzzaman filed a writ petition with High Court Division under the Supreme Court of the country in the month of last June (2025).
