Biman Bangladesh Airlines on Wednesday suspended its Dhaka-Kathmandu-Dhaka flights after the Nepal government extended the temporary ban on all flight operations to and from the country until 6:15 pm (local time) on yesterday.
The national flag carrier was compelled to halt operations in compliance with the Nepalese government’s directive issued in light of the prevailing situation there, said a Biman press release here yesterday afternoon, reports BSS.
Passengers of yesterday’s (September 9) and today’s suspended flights will be notified of fresh arrangements once further instructions are received, the airline said. Nepal-bound passengers have been advised to contact Biman’s call center at 13636 or +8809610913636 between 8:00 am and 8:30 pm daily for the latest updates on flight schedules.
