A grand JashneJulush rally was held on Saturday in Dhaka on the occasion of the 12th RabiulAwwal and the sacred Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), as like every year.

The procession started from the historic Suhrawardy Udyan under the leadership of Shah Sufi Dr. Syed Saifuddin Ahmad Maizbhandari, President of Anjuman-e-Rahmaniya Mainiya Maizbhandariya and Chairman of Bangladesh Supreme Party (BSP), with the participation of hundreds of thousands of prophet-loving sufi devotees.

In the morning, the procession began from the west side of Suhrawardy Udyan, walked past Doel Chattar, Shikkha Bhaban, and Kadam Fountain Road, and returned to the Udyan through the west gate, where it joined the Peace Grand Assembly.

From dawn, hundreds of thousands of devout sufi followers from different parts of the country gathered at Suhrawardy Udyan.

This year, marking the 1500th anniversary of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), people’s enthusiasm and excitement were remarkable.

At the forefront of the procession were large inscriptions reading: “YaNabiSalamuAlaika” and “YaRasulSalamuAlaika.” Participants carried flags inscribed with the Kalima, placards, festoons, and a massive national flag, filling the streets of the capital with vibrant colors. The air resounded with chants of Nara-e-Takbir and Nara-e-Risalat. Women’s participation in the peace assembly was also notable.

At the Peace Grand Assembly in Suhrawardy Udyan, BSP Chairman Shah Sufi Dr. Syed Saifuddin Ahmad Maizbhandari in his presidential address said:
“The Holy Prophet (SAW) is a special mercy from Allah for all of humanity. By following his ideals, a peaceful, just, and welfare-based society can be established. Rasulullah (SAW) has taught us fraternity, brotherhood, and humanity. Yet today, the world is plagued by wars, terrorism, and inhumanity. The only path to establishing lasting peace is the implementation of the teachings of the Beloved Prophet (SAW).”

The BSP Chairman further said: “We should embrace the sacred message of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) in our hearts and practice it in our personal, family, and national lives. Only then peace, brotherhood, and humanity will spread throughout society.”

The assembly was conducted by Pirzada Mufti Maulana Baki Billah Al-Azhari, and the distinguished guests and speakers included: Allama Professor Dr. Abdullah Al Maruf, Secretary General, Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat
