The grieving teacher is threatening journalists for reporting on the news.

A teacher at Kalai Moen Uddin Government High School in Joypurhat, enraged by the late arrival of a student to the classroom, whipped 33 students at once, seriously injuring them.
He has been threatening journalists with various threats, including death, after they published news in various print and electronic media on the allegation of being involved in the incident. Local journalists are expressing anger and protest on social media Facebook over the incident.
Local journalists said that the teacher Nafsi Talukder became furious after the incident of beating 33 ninth grade students of the school was published in various media outlets. After that, she threatened several journalists and their families with physical violence in various ways, including through mobile phones. Journalists say that while trying to cover up the torture and wrongdoing of students, journalists are now being intimidated, which is a direct blow to the freedom of the press. They have demanded that exemplary action be taken against the accused teacher immediately.

He also directly threatened several journalists in the Kalai bus stand area on August 26 and 27.
Dainik Bangla’s district correspondent Rabbiul Hasan Rami expressed his anger over the incident and wrote an open letter on his personal Facebook account. ‘Open letter – Kalai Moen Uddin Government High School assistant teacher and former municipal youth wing president Nafsi Talukder threatened to kill me a while ago for making news and sharing it on social media. If there is any harm in my life or family, Nafsi Talukder will have to take responsibility. What will those who were foaming at the mouth about her behavior yesterday say today?’
Additionally, Saud Abdullah, the Kalai correspondent of the daily Kaler Kantho, expressed his regret on Facebook and wrote, “The responsibility of telling the truth in journalism, now it’s fear! A terrible reflection in the mirror of society!!.” He has made extensive statements about the risks to his family and the journalism profession.
Regarding the threat, several other local media journalists said, “We have only sent the news to our respective media outlets based on the complaints, show-cause notices, information and video statements of students and parents and those concerned. Which the media authorities have verified and published. However, Nafsi Talukder is now threatening and intimidating us in various ways. This puts us in serious professional insecurity and risk. If Nafsi Talukder is offended by any information related to these news, she can protest. The administration and those concerned will take serious measures to ensure the safety and security of journalists.”
According to local sources, Nafsi Talukder was the leader of a political party before the school became a government school. She is still exerting influence in all circles, including the school, due to that influence. Several journalists tried to contact the accused teacher Nafsi Talukder on her mobile phone several times to find out about this, but she did not answer the phone.
Kalai Upazila Executive Officer Shamima Akhter Jahan said, “We have already received a show cause reply regarding the school. There are also allegations against him of misbehavior with doctors, nurses of the hospital, the headmaster of the school concerned, and other teachers and students, and misbehavior with AC Land. If a written complaint is filed regarding these matters and threats to journalists, it will be investigated and sent to the DG.”
Kalai Police Station Officer-in-Charge Zahid Hossain said, “I was not there. However, I have heard about the journalists. If the victims file a written complaint, legal action will be taken against them.”
