‘If Ctg survives, Bangladesh will survive’

Chattogram Bureau :
Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) has organised a meeting with stakeholders on the expansion of the airport road.
The meeting held at the CCC office at Tiger Pass on Wednesday discussed widening the Biman Airport Road to avoid traffic congestion and keep the communication system running.
Commenting on the development of Chattogram’s commercial potential, Chattagram City Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain said, “If Chattogram survives, Bangladesh will survive. Most of the country’s goods are transported through the port.
Chattogram Port Authority (CPA) has said that more vehicles will be added to the port in the future. Therefore, the existing road will not be sufficient for the future. However, this road must be constructed in such a way that the activities of the big institutions currently located on this road are not disrupted or damaged.”
The mayor also said that although an initiative was taken in 2017 to widen the road from Ruby Cement to Dry Dock to four lanes, the project was not implemented at that time. The road has become very important now as the road infrastructure has changed a lot with the changing times.
