BNP to reform country: CCC Mayor

Chattagram City Corporation (CCC) Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain said that the 31 points that BNP has given to repair the state are the real reforms.
Any reform is a political agenda. Reform is a political commitment.

Reforms and laws are made through continuous discussions in the National Parliament. BNP had given a program to repair the state during the previous fascist Awami government.

Elected by the people’s vote, BNP will reform the country. He said these things as the chief guest at the distribution of rice and smart cards in East and West Baklia wards and BNP membership form filling ceremony on the occasion of the 80th birth anniversary of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia in Baklia area on Wednesday.

The mayor said that national leader Begum Khaleda Zia has always spoken about people’s rights. She is the only leader who has been forcibly sent to jail in the last 16 years. It is possible to build a corruption-free, prosperous Bangladesh under the leadership of Begum Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman.

Regarding the development activities of the city, the mayor said, “With the grace of God, I have completed 50 percent of the work to resolve waterlogging within seven to eight months of assuming office as mayor, and the remaining work will be completed quickly.”

Footpaths have been cleared of encroachments in the Chawkbazar area, and arrangements have been made for rehabilitation without evicting anyone. The development work of the city’s roads is ongoing, and work on the roads that collapsed during the monsoon is ongoing.
