Five hurt as students from Dhaka College and City College clash

A clash broke out between students of Dhaka College and Dhaka City College in the Science Lab area of the capital, leaving at least five students injured.

The altercation began around 11:30 AM, leading to a violent confrontation between the two groups, a police official said, adding that New Market and Dhanmondi Police Stations deployed additional personnel to avert further clashes. The injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. It is understood that City College students attacked two Dhaka College students on Tuesday, and an ensuing clash between the two groups turned violent.

Additional police forces were deployed to the scene to bring the situation under control, he added.
