Nisho, Nabila pair up for OTT

In 2023, AfranNisho made his big-screen debut with Surongo. This year, his second film Daagi was released. Since stepping into films, Nisho had not acted in any web content, focusing solely on movies.

However, just two months after the release of Surongo, the series ShaareSholo premiered on Hoichoi – which Nisho had filmed before Surongo.

After acting in two consecutive films, AfranNisho has now returned to OTT. Nearly three years later, he has worked on a web series again, starring in Aka, directed by Vicky Zahed.

His co-star in this project is Masuma Rahman Nabila, marking the actress’s first web series.

Previously, AfranNisho had acted under Vicky Zahed’s direction in several projects, including Punarjonmo, Proyashchitto, SheshDekha, Chompa House, Redrum, and Bhuljonmo. With the Aka series, the actor-director duo has reunited once again.

The series was filmed in various locations across Dhaka. It blends themes of justice and injustice, revenge, suspense, and mystery.

AfranNisho said, “I am very optimistic about this series. I believe the audience will really enjoy this new style of thriller.”

Nabila is also hopeful. She said, “As my first series, Aka is very special to me. I hope the audience will love not only my character but also the story, atmosphere, and production of the series.”
