22 KU students get Dean’s Award

22 meritorious students of two disciplines of the School of Management and Business Administration of Khulna University have been awarded Dean’s Award. On Thursday, at the conference room of the university’s central research laboratory, the university’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim presented the crests and certificates to the award-winning students as the chief guest.
The students who received the Dean’s Award are – Rituparna Saha of BBA ’20 batch (obtained CGPA 3.89), Sheikh Muhammad Tahmid (obtained CGPA 3.81), Shyama Folia of MBA program ’19 batch (obtained CGPA 4.00), Kazi Nishat Farha Lopa (obtained CGPA 3.94), Md. Fahmidul Haque (CGPA 3.83), Gayatri Aditi Mitra of ’20 batch (CGPA 4.00), Syed Shamim Hasan (CGPA 3.89), Farhana Yasmin of ’23 batch (CGPA 3.88), Abdullah Tariq (CGPA 3.80), Pooja Roy (CGPA 3.78), Sabbir Ahmed of BBA ’19 batch in Human Resource Management discipline (CGPA 3.97), Tamima Hasan Taishi (CGPA 3.97), Zarin Rafa (CGPA 3.89), Natasha Sikder (CGPA 3.88), Khadija Akhter Roshni of ’20 batch (CGPA 3.89), Atkia Maysha (CGPA 3.87), Sheikh Niazur Rahman of MBA ’20 batch (CGPA 3.97), Farhana Amin Kana (CGPA 3.92), Brito Roy (CGPA 3.91) of the ’23 batch, Noor-e-Alam Siddiqui (CGPA 3.91), Ruqaiya Abiha (CGPA 3.89) and Md. Mubinul Islam (CGPA 3.76).
In his speech as the chief guest, the Vice-Chancellor said that parents and teachers always want their children and students to go further than them, to go beyond their own boundaries and become representatives of the country. The Dean’s Award is an important step towards fulfilling their dream. This is undoubtedly something special – not just an award, but it will be a source of glorious memories and lifelong inspiration for the students.
He also said that one of the disciplines with which Khulna University started its journey was the Business Administration discipline.
This discipline has proven its capabilities since the beginning. The students here are working with skill and reputation at home and abroad.
The Human Resource Management discipline is also already leaving its mark on its talent, mindset and efficiency. Along with academic education, students are actively participating in co-curricular activities, which is playing a role in their overall development.
The Vice-Chancellor welcomed the initiative of continuously giving Dean’s Awards to encourage students through their academic results and called for organizing such programs on a larger scale in the future.
