Afeida dedicates title to Uttara deceased

Captain of Bangladesh Under-20 Women’s Football team Afeida Khandaker dedicated her SAFF Under-20 Women’s Championship title to the persons, who died on an incident of plane crash at Uttara. The pilot of the heart-breaking incident and many teen students of Milestone School & College died on Monday due to plane crash.

Bangladesh Under-20 Women’s Football team retained their SAFF Under-20 Women’s Championship title but they did not celebrate their victory in a befitting manner due to the sad and heart-breaking incident of Uttara. Afeida Khandaker and Sagorika arrived at the field after the heart-breaking accident.

Bangladesh Under-20 Women’s Football team retained their SAFF Under-20 Football Championship title after defeating Nepal Under-20 Women’s Football team by four goals to nil at Bashundhara Kings Arena in the capital on Monday. Sagorika scored four goals with a hat-trick. The participating teams observed one-minute silence marking the death of the plain crash.

After clinching the title, Captain of Bangladesh Under-20 Women’s Football team Afeida Khandaker said, ” We heard the sad news before we arrived in the match-venue. After that we decided that we shall play for them. We shall dedicate our winning trophy for them who died in the heart-breaking accident. Thanks to the Almighty that we have done our job.”
