BRUR toilets in bad condition

BRUR Correspondent :

24 students on the sixth floor of Shaheed Mukhtar Elahi Hall of Begum Rokeya University (BRUR) in Rangpur use one toilet. On the other hand, the doors of the other two toilets are broken.

This is seriously disrupting the personal privacy and security of the students and putting the students at risk of health.

Students complain that renovation of the provost room is underway despite not solving the problems of the students.

The students of the hall are angry that decoration and AC are being installed in the provost room without giving importance to the renovation of the students’ toilets.

Several residential students including Kayem, Pisan, Sohag on the sixth floor said that even though they have told the provost for 6 months, he has not taken any action. The 24 students on the floor cannot use one toilet in any way.

The door of one is completely broken and the other door does not look right. That is why both are unusable.

A residential student named Kayem said, we have to wait in long lines in the morning.

Many times we have to hold the toilet.
This increases our health risk. Many times we have to go to another floor without finding a way.
