In memory of the martyrs of the July mass uprising, the ‘One Martyr – One Tree’ program was celebrated across the country on Saturday under the initiative of the district administration and the forest department.
As part of this, 14 black cherry tree saplings were planted in the Jamia Madania Islamia premises in Kazirbazar of the metropolis on Saturday (July 19) at around 11 am.
Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet Mohammad Sher Mahbub Murad attend the programme as a chief guest organized on this occasion.
Sylhet Divisional Forest Officer Md. Humayun Kabir, Muhtamim Allama Abdus Sobhan of Kazirbazar Jamia, Sylhet Press Club President Ikramul Kabir, Senior Vice President Khaled Ahmed and General Secretary Mohammad Sirajul Islam, Publicity Secretary of Sylhet District Press Club Rezaul Haque Dalim and other teachers of Kazirbazar Jamia and members of the martyr’s family.
After the tree plantation program, Jamia’s Senior Muhaddis Maulana Shah Momshad Ahmed led the prayer.
