Two people were killed as they were crushed under the wheels of speeding trains in two separate incidents in the district on Wednesday. One of the deceased, one was identified as Al-Amin, 25, a resident of East Chandra area. Railway sources said Al-Amin was run over by a speeding train at Samantapur near Dhirasram Railway Station and died on the spot on Wednesday morning. On the other hand, another unidentified man was crushed by a train on the Joydebpur-Rajshahi rail route beside outer signal of Mouchak Railway Station in Kaliakoir upzila early Wednesday.
