Candidates in Balagonj get symbols

The candidates in Balagonj upazila polls were allocated election symbols on Tuesday by Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet Md. Shohidul Islam. A total of 10 candidates are contesting for the posts of chairman and vice-chairmen in Balagonj Upazila under Sylhet district in the polls scheduled for February 27.
EC sources said that among the chairman candidates, the AL backed candidate Mustakur Rahman Mofur was given Pineapple symbol, BNP backed candidate Al-haz Abdal Miah got horse, Jamaat backed Sazid Mohammed was allocated Motorcycle symbol. The upcoming upazila elections have created enthusiasm in Balagonj, said locals.
