Legal notice against ‘Bachelor Point: Season-5’ director, artistes

Lawyer of Supreme Court Mohi Uddin has sent legal notices to various episodes of the drama series ‘Bachelor Point: Season-5’, alleging obscenity, social degradation and moral deviance.
Based on these allegations, director Kajol Arefin Ome, actors Marzuk Russell, Ziaul Haque Polash, Saidur Rahman Pavel, Shimul Sharma and Blue Films production house have been charged.

Supreme Court lawyer Mohi Uddin sent this legal notice on Tuesday.
The legal notice states, “Episodes 1 to 8 of the fifth episode of the drama ‘Bachelor Point’ contain many dialogues that are vulgar, double-minded, and socially unacceptable – and it is having a negative impact on society – especially on teenagers.”

The notice mentions: The dialogue of the drama uses words like ‘Date’, ‘Unish/Bish’, ‘Taka Hoile Sisa Khete Partam’, ‘Bangali Poshak Lungi’, etc words have been used in a way that is against morality. In addition, words like ‘female’, ‘kidney’, ‘Doi’ etc are being used in the mouths of the youth, which is against social decency and family taste.
The lawyer claimed that such dialogue is
demeaning to women.
The notice also states that director Kajol Arefin Ome Got herself said in an interview on June 14 that the drama is now being made for people of all ages. However, the language, tone, and
presentation of the play are not at all family-friendly. Rather, it is harming social values, religious teachings, and cultural traditions.
