Secretary of Defence Industries of Türkiye Prof Haluk Gorgun paid a courtesy call on Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman at the Army headquarters in Dhaka on Tuesday (8 July).
During the meeting, along with an exchange of greetings, they discussed strengthening the existing defence cooperation between the two countries, according to the Bangladesh Army.
The Turkish secretary assured extended cooperation and support for the development of the defence industry in Bangladesh.
In response, the Army chief expressed his desire to produce various modern military equipment and develop defence technologies in Bangladesh in close cooperation with Türkiye.
