Pirganj Municipality announces budget of Tk 47.5 crore

Without imposing any taxes Pirganj Municipality of Thakurgaon has announced a budget of Tk 47.62 crore 40 thousand for the fiscal year 2025-26. Municipal Administrator and Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Rakibul Hasan announced the budget through a gathering at the Municipality Auditorium on Wednesday.

This time, the revenue sector has been estimated at Tk 3 crore 66 lakh 40
and the development sector has been estimated at Tk 43 crore 96 lakh.

Former MP Zahidur Rahman Zahid, Pirganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Tajul Islam, Upazila Health Officer Abdul Jabbar, Upazila BNP Joint General Secretary Zillur Rahman Jewel, Municipal BNP President Ruhul Amin, Pirganj Press Club President Joynal Abedin Babul, Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee General Secretary Mokaddes Hayat Milon, Municipal Jamaat Amir Rafiqul Islam, Municipality Engineer Shah Jahan, Accountant Rafiqul Islam, and local dignitaries including officials and employees of the municipality were present at the time.
