‘Eid Ananda Mela-2025’ was held on the Hatem Sarkar Bari playground of Kandi village, Moshakhali union under Gafargaon upazila of Mymensingh district, under the initiative of Hatem Sarkar Sporting Club recently.
The main attraction of this Eid Ananda Mela was -Traditional game of Ha-du-du of rural Bangladeshs (teams: married-unmarried), Cock fighting (for boys studying in school and college), Cock catching by climbing on oiled banana tree (for all), Haribhanga (for adults-above 50 years), Biscuit race (for primary school children) and Pillow fight on water.
Md. Nurul Islam, President of ‘Hatem Sarkar Bari Jame Masjid’, was present as the chief guest at the Eid Ananda Mela-2025. After the games, the chief guest distributed prizes among the winners. Club President-Md. Jahirul Islam, Vice President-Hamida Akhter, Secretary-Md. Ariful Islam and Captain-Abdullah Al Mamun along with other members were present at the time. Spectators from far and wide, including local dignitaries, children, men and women, young and old, all enjoyed the game.
