Entertainment Report :

The work on the movie ‘Kustigir’ was completed in 2022. The movie received clearance from the Censor Board that same year. After that, no further news of the film’s release was available.

‘Kustigir’ is seeing the light of day three years after receiving its clearance. However, the film is not being released in theaters, but on television.

The movie ‘Kustigir’ will be screened on Channel i on the second day of Eid-ul-Azha.

Regarding the release of the film on television instead of in theaters, director Shahin Sumon said, “This decision was made due to the small number of cinema halls instead of releasing the film in theatres.

The number of cinema halls is already very limited. Whatever audience we get for Eid movies, the audience drops off completely after Eid. Meanwhile, our movie ‘Kustigir’ has been stuck for a long time.

Therefore, after considering all aspects, it has been decided to premiere the movie on television.”

On the other hand, Bappi Chowdhury, the hero of the movie ‘Kustigir’, said that he knew nothing about the television promotion.

He claimed that the work on this movie is not finished. Bappi said, “I don’t know anything about the television release of the movie ‘Kustigir’. And the work on this movie isn’t over yet. I haven’t even finished dubbing.”

Bappi Chowdhury said that the film received censor clearance three years ago, “They only know how this happened?”

The story of this movie is about the traditional wrestling game of Bengal.
The movie was shot in various locations across the country including Gazipur, Narsingdi, and Cumilla. Bappi Chowdhury played the role of a wrestler.

Zahara Mitu acted opposite him in the movie. She played the role of a mischievous village girl.

Other roles were played by Misha, Sanju John, Saberi Alam, Subrata, etc.
After a long time with ‘Kustigir’, Bappi acted under the direction of Shahin Sumon. Bappi made his big screen debut with Shahin Sumon’s film ‘Bhalobasar Rong’.
