Chattogram Divisional Commissioner Dr. Md. Ziauddin said that the recent progress, reforms and achievements of the Land Ministry have attracted the attention of various classes of citizens. The government is working relentlessly to make land services completely harassment-free and people-friendly by 2028. Mutation, LD tax and Khatian services are now completely online.
Any citizen from any part of the world can apply for registration, pay land development tax, Khatian services and receive all land-related services at home without coming to the land office. He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony and public awareness meeting of the 3-day land fair organized at the Chattagram Circuit House premises on Sunday (May 25).
The main theme of this year’s land fair is – ‘Pay land development tax regularly, keep our land safe’. To mark the inauguration of the land fair, a colorful rally was taken out under the leadership of the Divisional Commissioner and the Deputy Commissioner. It was paraded along the main roads. After this, the chief guest of the event inaugurated the 3-day land fair by releasing balloons.
The fair was organized with the overall support of the Ministry of Land, Land Reforms Board and Land Management Automation Project.
At the end, the stalls of the fair were visited by the chief guest of the event, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Md. Ziauddin and others. Chattagram Deputy Commissioner Farida Khanam presided over the inaugural ceremony and public awareness meeting of the land fair, which was conducted by the city’s Chandgaon Circle Assistant Commissioner (Land) Yusuf Hasan.
The special guests at the inauguration ceremony and public awareness meeting were DIG of the Chattagram Range of Police Md. Ahsan Habib Palash, Additional Divisional Commissioner of Chattagram Division Mohammad Nurullah Noori, and Director (Local Government) of the Divisional Commissioner’s Office Monowara Begum.
