Everyone must be united against fascism: Shahjahan Chowdhury

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Central Working Committee member, former whip of the parliamentary party, Chattagram Metropolitan Ameer and former MP Alhaj Shahjahan Chowdhury said, everyone must be united against fascism, the fallen Awami dictatorship that killed democracy and established a one-party state.
He further said, it had closed all newspapers except four and stifled the voice of the press, for 53 long years of independence, it had sold the sovereignty of independence and tied it to the slavery of a neighboring country. Due to murder, terrorism and crimes against humanity, the Awami League, Chhatra League and their affiliated organizations have been banned. Therefore, we must all be united against fascism.
He said these words as the chief guest at a view-sharing meeting of journalists and leaders of Chattagram Metropolitan Jamaat at the Chattagram Press Club on Saturday (17 May).
The meeting was chaired by Press Club Member Secretary Zahidul Karim Kochi at the July Shaheed Memorial Hall at the Chattagram Press Club. Journalists Saiful Islam Shilpi, Hasan Ferdous, and Muhammad Arif also spoke at the meeting, which was moderated by journalist Sohag Biswas.
