In a forward-thinking initiative to support students’ physical and mental well-being, the Canadian University of Bangladesh (CUB) has officially opened its cutting-edge gymnasium, ‘Muscle Engine.’ This fully-equipped fitness center is now accessible to all CUB students completely free of charge, promoting a healthy, active lifestyle alongside academic growth.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by CUB’s Honorable Vice Chairman, Chowdhury Jafarullah Sharafat, who cut the ribbon to mark the official launch. In his address, he highlighted the crucial link between fitness and academic performance, stating, “Success in life requires more than just academic brilliance—physical well-being is an equally vital component.”
The event drew participation from the Vice Chancellor, faculty members, administrative officials, and a large number of enthusiastic students. The celebration ended on a lively note with a colorful cultural performance that added vibrancy and joy to the occasion.
The Muscle Engine gym is outfitted with modern fitness equipment, including exercise bikes, weight training machines, and other advanced workout tools. It is fully accessible and designed exclusively for student use, free of cost.
With this new addition, CUB strengthens its commitment to nurturing the holistic development of its students—academically, physically, and emotionally—paving the way for a stronger, more resilient generation of future leaders.
