Labaid Cancer Hospital and Super Speciality Centre has achieved two historic milestones together which is a landmark moment for the healthcare sector of Bangladesh. They have become the first hospital of Bangladesh to achieve LEED Gold Certification. Along with that, they have gained international spotlight by being featured in the internationally recognized “Entrepreneur” Magazine, says a press release.
These achievements are more than just awards-they are proof that a Bangladeshi healthcare institution can match global standards in both medical care and environmental responsibility.
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the world’s leading green building rating system, and this certification means the hospital meets the highest international standards for energy efficiency, eco-friendly design, and clean, healthy indoor environments.
Labaid Cancer Hospital and Super Speciality Centre is now the first and only hospital in Bangladesh to be awarded the LEED Gold Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. This hospital is showing that healthcare can be both world-class and environmentally responsible.
