Rangpur Riders to play in Global Super League

Rangpur Riders will play in the Global Super League (GSL). This is the second edition of GSL. Earlier, Rangpur Riders emerged the champions in the last year’s GSL. It may be mentioned that Rangpur Riders were ousted from in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket 2024 in the play-off stage.
As Rangpur Riders failed to reach the final of the BPL Cricket, there was an uncertainty arose that Rangpur Riders can participate in the GSL.
The first edition of the Global Super League was held in Guyana of West Indies. A total of five teams took part in the last edition of GSL.
Chairman of GSL Clive LIyod said, ” We have invited the Ranpur Riders to compete in the this year’s Global Super League. We are eagerly waiting that Rangpur Riders will take part in the Global Super League. Rangpur Riders are the defending champions and they have quality to compete in this year’s meet.”
He said, ” We are highly delighted to invite Rangpur Riders. Last year Rangpur Riders showed extra-ordinary performance and professionalism. They are really the champions. We are waiting that they will arrive Guyana to play in the Global Super League.”
The curtain of Global Super League will be raised on July 10. The Global Super League will be held from July 10 to July 18.
The venues of the Global Super League are yet to be finalized. Cricket West Indies will supervise the Global Super League.
The authority of GSL are expecting that more teams than last edition will compete in this year’s Global Super League.
The format of Global Super League is Twenty20.
