Manikganj Correspondent :
In the four cases including attacks on the anti-discrimination student movement, directions of shooting and funding, the accused Manikganj district Awami League president and former chairman of the Zilla Parishad Golam Mohiuddin was sent to jail. Manikganj District and Sessions Judge Liaquat Ali Mollah did not grant bail on Tuesday and ordered him to be sent to the district. It is to be noted that GhulamMohiuddin (1) was first detained in such a case and went to jail.
It is learned that after the collapse of the Awami government on August 7, three cases were filed against the party leaders and activists of the district president, Saturia and Sadar police stations. During the last five years, during the Awami League government, GhulamMohiuddin has become the owner of huge wealth by abusing the posts and power.
Although there were many allegations of opposition to the opposition, no one dared to open his mouth. It is alleged that he has taken various strategies to suppress the opposition till the last day of the Awami government collapse. However, he claimed to be innocent for the people present before getting into the Prison van from the court. Court Inspector Md. AbulKhair said GhulamMohiuddin was already on bail from the High Court. When the court appeared in the respective court, he was not granted bail after the hearing.
