Irfan Sajjad’s different challenging role in Eid drama

A few days ago, the drama titled ‘Gunda’ directed by Zubair Ibn Bakar was released on YouTube. Niloy Alamgir, a popular small screen actor of this generation, played the title role in the drama.
Zubair Ibn Bakar has cast Irfan Sajjad, another talented actor of this generation, in a more
challenging role, written and directed by
himself. Title of the drama is
‘Fire Fighter: A Silent Hero’.
Director Zubair Ibn Bakar said that Irfan Sajjad played in role of a firefighter in the drama.
Zubair Ibn Bakar told this correspondent, “Irfan Sajjad has played the role of a firefighter brilliantly in the drama. In the story, Irfan will be seen going through various problems in his life. He loves a girl, and at one point he even decides to marry her. But due to the needs of the country,
he has to undergo an operation the day before the wedding. This firefighter died there. Later,
he was given a state honour. Irfan Sajjad
played the role of a firefighter brilliantly.”
Irfan Sajjad shared his feelings by this way, “I’ve been meaning to do the role of a firefighter for many years, a drama based on Zubair Bhai’s story. To be honest, the time, opportunity, and budget – all in all, the work was not being done because the bat and the ball were not being used. Zubair Bhai gave me more than six months to work on the fire brigade or firefighter, because it involves showing the script and getting permission. To be honest, we see different types
of stories in dramas, but the true sacrifice
of a firefighter is not brought out.
I lost weight for this role. I tried to learn more about a firefighter. I tried to figure out exactly how to do it. Basically, we tried to highlight the challenges and sacrifices a firefighter faces when it comes to extinguishing fires. It was a new
experience for me. It can be said that this
could also be considered one of my signature works in the future.”
This drama will be aired on a YouTube channel next Eid. Irfan Sajjad has previously acted in
dramas titled ‘Shudhu Tomar e Jonno’, ‘Urechhe Ei Mon’, ‘Rode Brishti Wheel Chair’, ‘One Way’, ‘Somaborton, ‘Bhugi Chugi Finance’, directed
by Zubair Ibn Bakar.
Irfan Sajjad said that this coming Eid, he will be seen in several other dramas including ‘Azan’, ‘Gangster Bose’, ‘Sukh Nodir Opare’, etc. He will also be seen in Hanif Sanket’s Eid drama.
