Workers of closed BEXIMCO units to get dues from March 9

Labour and Employment Adviser Brig Gen (Retd) M Sakhawat Hossain announced on Thursday that the disbursement of pending wages for workers from 14 closed industrial units under BEXIMCO Industrial Park will begin on March 9.

He made this announcement during a press conference after attending a meeting of the Advisory Council Committee on Labour and Business Situation Review of Industries at BEXIMCO Industrial Park.

He said BEXIMCO Industrial Park will require Tk 525.46 crore to clear the outstanding payments of employees from 14 closed industrial units.

Earlier, on February 12 the adviser said the government would pay outstanding dues of BEXIMCO Industrial Parks’ workers before Ramadan.
