Operation Devil Hunt busted 532 individuals

As part of Operation Devil Hunt, law enforcement agencies have arrested 532 individuals across the country.

Additionally, a total of 1,051 people with outstanding warrants in other cases had been arrested nationwide, the Police Headquarters shared the information to the media on Wednesday.

Authorities reported that during Operation Devil Hunt, they recovered a foreign pistol, a magazine, a steel machete, two Burmese knives, a steel knife, and a steel sword.

Earlier, on Tuesday, 506 people were arrested under Operation Devil Hunt, while an additional 1,141 individuals were detained in other cases on the same day.

To maintain law and order and bring criminals under legal action, the interim government decided to launch Operation Devil Hunt nationwide on February 8, following the attacks on the students in Gazipur on Feb 7.

Earlier, the Home Adviser to the interim government Lt Gen (retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury told the media that the Operation Devil Hunt would continue till netting all devils behind bars.
