Five top scientists from various global universities have joined Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) as visiting professors.
The five scientists joining the Department of Chemical Engineering at JUST are:
1.Dr. Saidur Rahman, Professor at the School of Engineering and Technology, Sunway University, Malaysia,
2.Tadaheru Komeda, Professor at the Department of Chemistry, The University of Tokyo, Japan, 3.Mohammad Ali Sad Ali, Part-time Assistant Professor at Georgia Tech Shenzhen Institute, China
4.Tomohiro Hayashi, Associate Professor at the Department of Materials Science, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan
5.Jiuhua Liu, Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Henan University, China
This information was shared in a separate announcement signed by JUST’s Registrar, Engineer Ahsan Habib.
The visiting professors will provide guidance on various aspects of education and research in both the university and the Department of Chemical Engineering, helping the university and its students gain global recognition. Faculty and students alike hope this will also improve JUST’s rankings.
JUST’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Majid, stated, “There are many distinguished teachers at JUST as well. Several of our young teachers are performing well. If students have the opportunity to gain knowledge from scholars from other countries, it will make them more confident.”
He added, “We aim to create global graduates. Together, we want to move this university forward.”
On January 17, during the 104th Regent Board meeting of JUST, the university authorities decided to appoint the five professors as visiting professors for one year, following the recommendations of the departmental planning committee.
