The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association (BAJUS) has raised the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 1,155, bringing the new price to Tk 1,39,443 per bhori.
The price has been increased following a rise in the price of pure gold in the local market, reads a statement of BAJUS on Wednesday.
Besides, 21-carat gold was raised by Tk 1,097 to 1,33,098 a bhori (11.664 grams), 18-carat by Tk 945 to Tk 1,14,086, and gold of traditional method by Tk 805 to Tk 93,674 respectively, it added.
The new prices will come into effect from Thursday.
On December 30, BAJUS reduced the price of 22 carat gold by Tk 1,050 to Tk 1,38,288 per bhori.
