CCC Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain said these words while distributing waste collection bins to traders of KazirDeuri Bazar on Sunday (January 12) to make Chattagram a green, clean and healthy city. The mayor said, my main election commitment is to make this city beautiful. Bring it under the scope of clean, green and healthy city. We have started distributing plastic waste collection bins in every important place, every market and place in Chattagram. The monsoon season is coming in two-three months. Waterlogging is the main problem of our city during the monsoon.
The main cause of waterlogging is non-perishable products including polythene, plastic, and cork sheets. From now on, as part of mass awareness, we will distribute plastic waste collection bins in every place and bring all the shops in the city under it.
He said, we are installing dustbins in the market today. It is not just in the market, we will provide small dustbins in front of all shops. We want everyone to throw garbage in specific dustbins instead of throwing it in the open. If there is still garbage after providing plastic bins for collecting waste in front of the shop, the trade license of that shop will be canceled.
