Three Vice Chancellors visited the grave of Shaheed Abu Sayeed, a student of the English Department of Begum Rokeya University (BRU), who was killed in police firing in July last year during the anti-discrimination student movement.
On Wednesday, Rangpur Vice Chancellor of BRU, Professor Dr. Md. Shawkat Ali, Vice Chancellor of Rajshahi University (RU) Professor Dr. Saleh Hasan Naqib and Bangladesh Open University (BOU) Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam. They recited Fateha and offered prayers at the grave of Shaheed Abu Sayeed in Babanpur village in Jafarpara, Madankhali Union, PirganjUpazila, Rangpur. After visiting the grave, the Vice Chancellor of RBU and Bou inquired about the family members of Shaheed Abu Sayeed and spoke to them. At this time, the Registrar of Begum Rokeya University, Dr. Harun-or Rashid, was present.
