With the aim of training children in filmmaking, the Children’s Television Foundation of Bangladesh (CTFB), a non-governmental organisation, organised a 5-day workshop titled ‘The Craft Junior’ at the Bishwa Sahitya Kendra in the capital.
In this workshop, children were taught the ins and outs of filmmaking by hand. Enigma Multimedia Ltd was in collaboration with this workshop.
In this workshop, children were trained on various topics such as
manuscript writing techniques, screenplay writing techniques, camera operation, introduction to camera shots, film directing, use of sound, basic
video editing, etc.
The workshop ended last Saturday.
In the closing ceremony, 20 one-minute films by 20 child filmmakers were screened. The CTFB took this initiative to create a platform for the development of children’s talents, expression of opinions and improvement of technical skills.
Sheikh Raihan Ahmed, Chairman of Enigma Multimedia Ltd, MD Sheikh Zahin Ahmed, Children’s Television Foundation of Bangladesh (CTFB) Secretary General Fahmidul Islam Shantanu, guardians of child filmmakers and school teachers spoke at the closing ceremony.
The exhibition concluded with a screening of the children’s films, listening to their experiences, distributing certificates to everyone on stage, and taking a group photo.
