Shahjalal Islami Bank Victory Day Tennis Competition-2024 begins

Under the supervision of Bangladesh Tennis Federation “Shahjalal Islami Bank Victory Day Tennis Tournament -2024” was inaugurated at National Tennis Complex in the capital on Friday.
The Chairman and CEO of Prubani Group and President of Bangladesh Tennis Federation Abdul Hai Sarker was present as chief guest and inaugurated the Tournament.
The Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC Mohammed Younus and Managing Director Mosleh Uddin Ahmed were present as special invited guest.
Among others the Vice President of Bangladesh Tennis Federation Ashrafuzaman Khan (Puton), the General Secretary Ishtiaq Ahmed, Tournament Director Shafiqul Islam Sarkar (Sohel), the In-charge of Public Relations Department of the Bank KM Harunur Rashid and other officials of Bangladesh Tennis Federation were also present in the programme.
There are 30 Clubs from different divisional levels, district levels and universities of the country will participate in the competition.
The competitors will compete in men’s single, men’s double, women’s single, women’s double, boy’s single under-18 years, girl’s single under-18 years, boy’s single under-14 years and girl’s single under-14 years events.
In the speech of the Special guests the Vice Chairman of Shahjalal Islami Bank Mohammed Younus Said that the tennis is one of the most popular games in the global sports. Due to lack of sponsorship tennis did not spread that way in Bangladesh.
Shahjalal Islami Bank has been providing possible sponsorship for the development of sports in the country.
In continuation of this, Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC is the main sponsor of Victory Day Tennis Competition-2024.
In the speech of the special guest the Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank Mosleh Uddin Ahmed Said, Shahjalal Islami Bank constantly works for the development of sports in the country. Earlier also we were with Bangladesh Tennis Federation, now we again involved.
Hopefully it will be a very competitive tournament and Bangladesh tennis will benefit from this tournament.
