The bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Indonesia are deeply rooted in history and marked by friendship, says Sufi Mizanur Rahman.
The statement came on Tuesday when the Honorary Consul of Indonesia, Alhaj Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman, received the highest commendation award entitled “Caraka Buwana” from Indonesian Foreign Minister Mrs. Retno L.P. Marsudi.
The special envoy of the Indonesian Government, Ms Dhaurana Atikah Dewi, Secretary to the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia and Ms. Nur Hamamur Rizki Ratnaningtyas, officials of political affairs at the Indonesian Embassy in Dhaka, presented the commendation award at the Honorary Consul office at Khulshi, Chattogram.
Speaking at the ceremony, Sufi Mizanur Rahman said, “The relations between Bangladesh and Indonesia are deeply rooted in history and marked by friendship. Both nations are committed to continuing their cooperation in the future and working together to promote peace, prosperity, and development in the region.” Mentioning that Indonesia was among the first countries to recognize Bangladesh after its independence.
