Country’s both the bourses– Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – on Sunday plunged due to mainly price fall in large-cap securities.
DSEX, the broad index of the DSE, declined by 25.2 points and settled at 5,196 points as against 5,222 points in the previous trading session.
Market analysts observed that the market remained downbeat throughout the session with widespread sell-offs from cautious investors that pushed the majority of scrips sliding into red territory, reports BSS.
Meanwhile, market turnover also decreased by 6.8 percent to Taka 3.1 billion as against Taka 3.4 billion in the previous session.
