A bumper crop of Aman has been produced in Kendua, Netrakona. The farmers are smiling. The agriculture office is in a cheerful mood as the production is higher than the target. The Upazila Agriculture Office said – this year, the target of planting 20,350 hectares of land in Kendua was 20,325 hectares of land. Out of this, 20,325 hectares of land has been achieved. The target yield was 6,075 metric tons of hybrid rice, 4,575 metric tons of Ufshi national rice, and 2,625 metric tons of local rice. Out of this, the yield of hybrid rice was 6,105 metric tons, Ufshi rice was 4,590 metric tons, and local rice was 2,700 metric tons. Which is 120 metric tons more than the target.
In this regard, Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Humayun Dildar said – Due to the overall cooperation of our Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officers with the farmers at the field level and the favorable environment, the yield of Aman planted in Kendua has been very good this year.
