‘Ujan Bhati’ famed director CB Zaman shifted to ICU

Veteran Bangladeshi filmmaker CB Zaman has been admitted to the ICU
at a private hospital in the capital following a serious health complication.
The 79-year-old director, known for his acclaimed works in films like ‘Ujan Bhati,’ ‘Jhorer Pakhi,’ and ‘Puroshkar,’ was rushed
to Universal Medical College Hospital on December 13 after suffering a medical emergency at home. According to reports, CB Zaman collapsed in the bathroom around 10:45am. Family members found him disoriented and unable to speak clearly. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors placed him in intensive
care due to the severity of his condition.
His son, CF Zaman, confirmed the news on social media, stating, “My father is critically ill and has been admitted to the ICU at Universal Medical College Hospital. Please keep him in your prayers.” Doctors suspect that CB Zaman may have suffered a stroke, although
further tests are being conducted to determine the exact cause. His condition remains critical, and doctors will provide updates after receiving test results.
This is not the first time the renowned director has faced serious health issues.
In recent years, CB Zaman has suffered multiple strokes and heart attacks.
His most recent hospitalisation occurred in April last year, due to a heart attack. C B Zaman is a towering figure
in Bangladeshi cinema, with a career spanning several decades.
