Syeda Nazmur Siha Muna :

Nelson Mandela’s most leading perspective about the concept of education is “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”.

Beginning this writeup with this inherently impactful quote as it implies that the education has every possible chance to initiate the greatest changes to the world.

The aforementioned assertion believed in an education that goes beyond and above the mere fact of confinement of education only within an institutional degree.

I truly believe that the true value of education lies in finding out the purpose of your life – the purpose that prioritises humanity as the greatest glory in living.

The perseverance of the notion of ‘Education’ reflects on the great philosopher Jeramy Bentham’s principle axiom that formed the fundamental basis of the ‘Modern Utilitarianism’ in philosophy that emphasize on the theory of inclusiveness, equality, collective well-being and the greatest goodness for the greatest number of people.

And the greatest goodness for the greatest number of people lies in the inclusiveness, ascertaining equality and equal rights for every individual across the country. We can think of social progression without the essurance of overall ‘Inclusion’.

As a teacher, I believe that the noble profession ‘Teaching’ has one of the significant influences in a student’s life. In teaching, the most important thing I regard is the ability of understanding a student’s constructive thought process, addressing the exact point where a student faces the challenges, building up a connection and strong communitaton with the students.

The practice of giving all students, regardless of their backgrounds, ethnicity, geneder or abilities, equal access to education and learning opportunities is known as ‘Inclusion’ in education and this inclusion is an integral factor tthat attribute a lot in the process of equal appreciation every individual.

In surroundings we can see there are a lot of differences existing in this society. Differences in terms of gender, religion, ethnicity, background, opnions, overviews and so on. There are a lot of people who are with different abilities as well.

In history, we can see these people with differences and different abilities are the doers who think differently and make the stories of success with their creative mind.

In these society, as we teachers are being addressed as the most important part os a student’s life, I believe it is our responsibility to be with them with view to inspiring them, standing beside them & creating a ground from where they can get the source of hopes & encouragement, equal opportunity irrespective of their differences.

If we can do our best, create an welcoming environment, open up people’s minds, address the necessity of inclusion, we will definitely be able to see students with differences have every opportunity to shine!
