Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus met with student leaders on Tuesday evening to discuss forming national unity. After the meeting, Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Coordinator Hasnat Abdullah addressed the media.
Students leaders met with Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna on Tuesday.
Regarding India-Bangladesh relations, Hasnat said, “The relationship should be based on people-to-people and state-to-state connections.
“The interim government has come with the mandate of the people and the spirit of a mass uprising. Do not view this government through the lens of the Awami League, instead, build a just relationship with it from the perspective of the people.”
He further said, “If our relationship deviates in any way, we will not compromise even an inch on matters of sovereignty and integrity.”
Earlier, Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus was scheduled to meet with student leaders on Tuesday evening to discuss forming national unity. The announcement was made by Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Islam at a press conference on Tuesday afternoon.
