Chief Adviser Prof Mohammad Yunus on Thursday expressed his deep admiration for the bravery and sacrifice of Abu Sayed, a martyr of the July uprising.
Dr Yunus said while welcoming the family members of Abu Sayed at his Tajgaon office on Thursday. The chief adviser handed over the certificate of the Shaheed Abu Sayed Foundation to the family members of martyr Abu Sayed during a brief ceremony.
Emphasising his strong emotional connection to Rangpur and acknowledging the martyr’s significant contribution to the region’s history, he said, “Consider me as an adviser from Rangpur.”
Chief Adviser’s Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder said Prof Yunus enquired about the health condition of Abu Sayed’s parents and assured them of all support from the government.
Abu Sayed’s father Mokbul Hossain received the certificate. Nephew of Abu Sayed Md Liton Mia was also present.
