Daffodil International University (DIU) is set to host “Job Utsob 2024” on Friday and Saturday at Daffodil Smart City, Savar, Dhaka.
The event will feature 130 leading companies and offer over 600 job openings, along with over 2,500 vacancies across various industries. It promises to be a key opportunity for job seekers and professionals.
The event will be inaugurated by the education ministry’s Additional Secretary (University) Khaleda Akhter as the chief guest while DIU Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman Dr Md Sabur Khan will join as guest of honour.
Education ministry’s Additional Secretary (Technical & Madrasah Education Division) Dr Md Ayatul Islam will join the event as the special guests along with Microsoft (Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal) Managing Director Yousup Faruqe.
The festival aims to bridge the gap between talented job seekers and top employers, creating a platform where students and young professionals can launch or advance their careers, reads a press release issued Wednesday.
“Job Utsob 2024” promises an array of enriching activities designed to empower participants and enhance their employability, including insights from industry leaders in the leaders talk session, three specialised master-class sessions focusing on emerging skills and industry trends, a grooming session providing personalized career guidance to refine job readiness, a resume drop opportunity offering direct access to potential employers, and on-the-spot interviews for immediate recruitment opportunities.
This event aims to highlight the institution’s dedication to promoting employability and addressing the demands of both national and global markets.
